    Default 7 card stud update

Well I've moved onto the 6 max 1/2 tables. 2+2 says it's an easier game to beat and that looks to be right. With fewer players to draw out and a smaller ante relative to the betting it's much more generous to tight play. Hence, I've gotten down to seeing 4rth ~20%.
The players aren't much better either, still lots of players that play just about any 3 cards until it looks completely hopeless.

On my first run I lost $50 (a couple river beats, big pair that never improved, a couple ~40% draws that never came and a couple hands I shouldn't have played) but the next session I won that back, and the next session after that I finished up over $50. In the last session I had a guy completing every hand on 3rd and auto-betting 4rth. Once I had him figured out I tightened up and used my position to exploit him for at least $25. I got a kick out of him betting into my full house twice (I raised him both times) and then completing into my burried Kings. May such players always find my table then leave with a thinner bankroll and a smile (smile optional.)

Anyway I'll leave you with one of my last .5/1 hands. So far I'm 2 for 2 with this hand...

you're getting me really curious about 7 card stud. it just seems like a lot more to keep track of (compared to hold em).

7 card isn't too bad IF your paying attention..

worst part for me is remember what was folded. Because if you see

Say you see someone with 33 and know that another 3 was folded on 5th street then you have more information on your opponent.

I do'nt think i could play 2 tables of 7 card like I can holdem.

mmmmmmm rolled up trip aces, the hand stud players dream of. Nicely played with the patience 'til 5th street. I normally go for the check-raise there though; they're being the aggressor, let them think they should continue. It's a few extra bets in a pot you are most likely going to win.
Is that guy still part of the forum??

I found 7-stud much easier to play and more 1-dimensional vs. limit and no-limit holdem. To me reading folks isnt as important vs what cards are out and what was folded, making it less of a thinking game. However, knowing is someone is tight/aggressive vs loose/passive is still very important.

The math is tougher, but it's a lot less about people and inspired play after 3rd/4rth.
