Small pot, betting the turn more than protects your hand. It also looks like a missed flop check/raise.

nah i wasn't goin for the flop check raise, my hand is too weak. but when the turn card came, and the button bets that was just screaming buyin the pot. i have top pair, and the board is paired, which solves half of my kicker problems.

I mean that if you bet the turn after checking the flop through as first to act aware opponents won't nessisarly put you on a hand made by the turn because you may have whiffed a check/raise. This adds deception to your otherwise straight-forward bet.
