If UTG and/or the button is tight enough, I might think about folding this pre-flop.

You're good for at least a turn 3-bet, if UTG+1 caps, then I'll concede that he probably has QQ.

Since you're in a great position for it I'd check/raise the turn. The way you played it I'd 3-bet and check/call the river if he caps. I think you gave in a little too early.

yeah. all that was going through my mind is a set of queens or some weird ass straight. i took a note for myself not to be overly aggressive with bottom set against someone else going all crazy.

I think his crazy betting is more indicative of an unimproved large pocket pair. 3betting the turn and check/calling the river might have been a good play on that. The pf raising says he doesn't have the weird straight unless he's loose as hell.
