hey Toasty did you take advantage of the Pokerstars bonus? I put in $500 today and am trying to play the 600 hands or so. It will take a while. I am playing 2 tables one 2/4 and one 3/6. Will have to pllay for a week or so, unless I go on a binge 8 hr session.
Holy crap I cant play against Yoda!!

yeah, I signed up $600 and got the full $150. Not sure why. It could have been that $667 was for the full $150 but I think because I was limited to a $600 deposit they gave me the full anyways.

I put in a 13 hour session yesterday (silly i know) and finished with the bonus 70% complete, on the day i was up $5 hehe. Was up $200 but I ended up on a tough table and didn't alter my game, took $150 before I realised the game was to tough for me. That's how it went all day up and down like a yoyo.

I hear ya about the up and down, Toasty! Saturday night I played $3/$6 (been doing alright at this level so, like everything else, I figured I'd play that level and ride it out till things start to go bad, which they inevitably will).

I took $200 to the table. After about 2 1/2 hours I found myself in a hand where I was betting my last $6 on the river! Couldn't catch a thing, bad cards and bad luck all around. And to top it off, of course, the bad cards and not being able to catch anything were lending to bad play on my part. I can't blame any of the other players at the table as they were all playing solid poker. Well, I ended up winning that hand that I was betting my last $6 on. Within the next 30 minutes I had my stack back up to $202! Needless to say, I left the table. That's when I decided to play the multi-table $10+$1 tourney that I talked about in another post in a different thread. Did pretty well there in that MTT. Placed 9th out of 276.

Man what an up and down night Saturday was!

Bad JM, no cookie. All-in in a limit game? Staying at a tight/solid table when you're running bad? Glad you were able to recover, but don't expect to next time around.

Do you use PokerTracker?

Haha! I know. I was spiraling fast and was just in the mode of "take it all!" T'was the first bad run I had had up to that point playing $3/$6. I had a fight with the wife earlier in the night and was still stewing from that. I have no one to blame for the near "bankroll debacle" but myself! Thankfully I was able to get it all back and play well in that MTT.

No, I haven't picked up Poker Tracker yet. But I plan to in the near future. From the sounds of things it seems like those of you using it here swear by it.

Thanks, fishstick! I had a pretty nice run there during that tourney. Barely eeked into the final table. I was the low stack at the final table and managed to outlast one other guy before my A4o got busted by pocket 7's.

It was great experience though and alot of fun. Although I was beat the next morning. Gotta start going to bed earlier!

I played a $5 buyin tourney on Royal Vegas Poker and placed 1st out of 297 for a nice $260 prize. I have seen the final table alot in the recent multi table tourneys i've played. I really enjoy multi table tourneys because it's another part of my poker game I can expand and gain experience on.
