Two hands from my latest session:
******* Hand 1 ********
Poker Stars
Pot Limit Omaha Ring game
Blinds: $3/$6
6 players
Converter
Stack sizes:
UTG: $123.75
UTG+1: $231.55
HERO: $627.50
Button: $521.30
SB: $456.30
BB: $513.05
Pre-flop: (6 players) HERO is CO with 4 T 3 2
2 folds, HERO raises to $18, 2 folds, BB calls.
We're playing 6-max, so you don't really need A2 to play. Short handed I think 234 plays just as well as A2. The only thing I don't like about the hand is the ten adds no value. Villain is pretty spewy.
Flop: T 6 T ($39, 2 players)
BB checks, HERO bets $25, BB raises to $72, HERO calls.
Or maybe it does...
I don't really consider slowplaying, so I bet, but villain checkraises. But less than pot size. Is he putting me on air? I'm really only beating a bluff, so I decide to call.
Turn: 4 ($183, 2 players)
BB bets $120, HERO raises all-in $537.5, BB folds.
Uncalled bets: $417.5 returned to HERO.
Now I have a decent low draw and a made full house. But with only $300 left in villain stack and a $300 pot right now, I elected to raise. I didn't want a random low getting half if I counterfeit, and maybe he has something he's willing to call with anyway. Should I have taken a chance and flat called here and give him an opportunity to bet again on the river?
Results:
Final pot: $423
******* Hand 2 ********

UTG: $322.55
UTG+1: $120
CO: $210.55
HERO: $961.25
SB: $528.95
BB: $441.30
Pre-flop: (6 players) HERO is Button with A 8 3 9
2 folds, CO calls, HERO calls, SB raises to $30, 2 folds, HERO calls.
Flop: 2 4 5 ($72, 2 players)
SB checks, HERO bets $40, SB calls.
What could he have here?
Turn: Q ($152, 2 players)
SB checks, HERO bets $120, SB calls.
By now I put him on AA6x, perhaps with a small flush? I have a fake flush with the ace of diamonds.
River: J ($392, 2 players)
SB checks, HERO???
Okay, here's the decision. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a hand that beats me. My Ad is very important here because it means to scoop me he needs to use at least 3 of his cards because he must have either A36, or A3x with the x-suited. Judging by his line, I think that's highly unlikely. His play looks like someone wanting to see a cheap showdown. Should I bet $150 looking for a 2 pair or an A6 to call me, or should I bet the pot and hope he still calls with something that's getting scooped, or alternatively gain half the pot if a flush folds?
Results:
Final pot: $392

Hand 1: I think the flop is tough because there are basically 2 sets of hands you can have. AAxx (including AA2x) or A2xx. The A2 stuff missed so he could be trying to bluff that, but he could also be trying to get value from AAxx with a T. Id guess he assumes youre folding AAxx quite alot here though which makes it more likely he just puts you on low cards. Id expect to see a T here pretty often though. I think you have to raise the turn because a T probably has alot of overcard outs to you and he could also hit a low. Stick it in now and see what happens.
Hand 2: I dont think he calls the river with just 2 pair (and probably folds before). I dont really think he calls with anything you beat and Im not sure he'd fold a flush here given that you obviously have a wheel. Id shove if you think he folds a flush, and I dont think checking behind is terrible if you dont. This hand reminds me of checking with quads showing in stud.
