Hi,

I posted earlier today but no one has yet responded to my specific hand questions pre flop.

What about in general, I cant find anywhere on the net or a book with loads of info on texas holdem 6 player max tables.

I saw the article on this forum and it seemed pretty good, but is it written by a winning player? Ive never seen anyone 20%VP

Primarily im interested in starting hands, I keep seeing players raise every hand, and from early playing suited Aces, suited connectors, some even play any AX,

Ive seen players play any pair like its AA, even if its 22, they reraise on the button, and raise on the flop even if all 3 cards are higher value, say if they have 44, and flop is 6 9 J,

Calling raises from any position with any pair, meduim 87s, 76s suited connectors etc,,is this right??????

Also 6 max seems many players happy to go to river with high card ace, even if they been facing raises. Do they do this because some players raise there from UTG +1 with still 2 more players to play after.

See, so many situations, that many to me seem crazy, but according to my poker tracker these what winning players are doing.

I presume most players that play 3 tables at a time have worked out a winning strategy.

Where do i start to learn this 6 play max game? Starting at $1 and learning yourself is just to difficult, as when u move up the whole game changes.

Most of the plays Ive seen are the total opposite of what is in hypers guide,,,,,,so while im happy to try his guide out as it makes sense on paper, is it to tight?

my guide was compiled with my own experience and experiences of many other proven winning players. winning players range anywhere from low 20s to high 20s VPIP. any less and you're missing out on opportunities and any higher and you're leaking chips.

these LAGs will eventually lose all their money

no it's not. you'll still looking for flop at least mid pair with your pockets, or hit a set with your lower pockets, which is why it's important to only see the flop with low pockets when you expect at least 4 people seeing the flop.

they do this for 2 reasons. they are stupid and want to call your bluff every single time, even when it's clear you're not. the better reason, is they are a good player and by showing down ace high *sometimes* they are telling you that they aren't going to fold every time and not to try bluffing them down.

over how many hands? 10k hands is just barely enough to get a glimpse.

play within your bankroll, whatever that is...

a fish calling down with 4 outs isn't what i call a winning play, but they do it anyway.

if you're at a table with people raising all the time, you're at the wrong table. remember, shorthanded games give aggressive players an edge. to counter that edge you should either tighten up, and hit them when they don't expect, or increase your variance by being even more aggressive. either way you're cutting into your profits. you don't want more than 2 aggressive players (including yourself) at a shorthanded table.

elipsesjeff is an unknown quantity at this point
It also depends on what site you play at. If you play at Party, I might suggest you switch your chips to Poker Stars. They play a little more reasonable 6 max game. If you can beat 2/4 6 max at stars, you'll be pretty good.
