Jeff mentioned this in a thread recently that 6 max tables are where you want to be and I wanted to bring it up again to thank him for the advice (I am running about +5BB/100 for about 4,000 hands at 3/6) and also remind posters this is where you want to be. Ed Miller agrees in this article:

If you are playing anything under 15/30 (which we all pretty much are) and you haven't tried it, start playing 6 max. You will like it
