I would probably call and see what my agro friend wants to do on the turn. Raising again seems bad since you don't call with worse and fold anything we're ahead of. I don't know how many times you 2 barrel if you're semi bluffing here, but I think I'd have to fold to a large lead on the turn?

haha, that's a little confusing.

I guess I was asking what people thought about villains play.

I would have just called flop in his shoes. He's ahead of my range, but if he doesn't improve on the turn he's OOP in a bloated pot with no idea what he's up against. Yeah, I'm mostly folding air or dominated hands to this raise. I do have air here a lot.

3 betting pre is terrible if you only do it with AA hands. If you had AdAs5d6s then yes. Otherwise the only strong hands are flopping the set, or 234 which you're not getting paid on.

I think leading the flop is a lot better.

so is it bad to never rr pf in this game then or what? just seems silly to me to not rr a button raise here. if you do want to 3bet, what other hands would you use to balance your range? hands like 6789 s/ds?

You could probably never rr pre at 25 or 50PLO and be ok. When you 3bet you're assuming villain will fold a fair amount, or your hand is so strong that you don't mind them calling. Neither is the case here. I'm almost never folding to a 3bet with position, unless I raised with something really trashy to steal. Even then, if it's the kind of player you can put squarely on AA I may call anyway, knowing he won't fold (implied odds) and I know exactly where I am. Best. Situation. Ever.

wrap hands are good. If there's one gap (especially if it's low) 689T. I'm sure someone else will expand on this.

as villain i certainly pot the flop and take it from there

against most opponents if they raise me with a set on the flop then they got my stack. I would be putting you on some kind of straight draw here. Two pair as well, but I'm find against that.

If I pot, swiggidy pot raises then I will either call intending to push most turns, or just push. If swiggidy calls I pot the turn most of the time.
