50/100 5-handed mixed game. CO is Cole South, BB is unknown but seems aggro and competent in general.

is this a question about preflop or?

Actually I'm mostly wondering whether I should be betting the turn after BB overcalls flop? Happy to hear thoughts on pre also, LHE isn't my game at all, but I don't want to sit out like some nit.

if you havent flopped anything with much equity (ie. both your potential draws require you to hit on the turn and river) why do you stay in on the flop?

I dont mean to critisise given that the stakes are way out of my league and i'm not a limit player, ..but wouldnt you want to have more equity when floating as a general rule?

I wouldve thought this game would be excedingly agressive and you couldnt count on villains to back down, particularly given limits much more mathematically calculated calls. Axd has odds to call your turn bet, as do any two clubs.. also straight draws are possible with 45 and have odds though less likely to be in villains range. But given its 5 handed i would assume CO has a mega wide range.

I have no idea. I should probably have 3bet pre and folding the flop seems wise as well. Was hoping someone who played this game could help out. I haven't played mixed games since black friday anyway.

obviously anything i say is to be taken with extreme caution and likely ignored full stop.

that said..

3bet pre in position sounds better. Probably increases fold equity for the flop and turn. Though will juice the pot a bit making it better for a club draw on the flop. But maybe consider the BB would fold preflop if you 3bet.

cold calling raises preflop with junky hands like seems like a massive leak. But short-handed and stakes make me seriously doubt my thoughts.

Betting the turn seems appropriate given the new equity with the flush draw but i guess you also have to consider that the board is paired and better diamond draws and club draws will have good odds. So I don't know how aggressive you can be on the river if you make a flush. I want to be able to cap the bets when i hit to maximise the value of my draw and i'm not sure if you can really do that here. Would you have capped if BB had 3bet river?

FWIW (I suck at limit and 95% of my experience comes from low-limit mixed games on Stars pre-Black Friday) yeah I'd always 3-bet pre and pretty much play the same postflop.
Playing big pots at small stakes.
