I'm pretty happy. This should make the 15/30 games a little easier.

What's up with the $5 rake? Granted its not a huge portion of pot size, but that's 60% more than 30/60.

That is weird. Pokerroom goes up to 300/600, and the rake still tops out at $3.

Weird? Dude, it's Party. It would be weird if they didn't try finding a way to milk more money from you. They charge a 20% rake on $5 SNGs. They charge a rake on re-buys during R/A MTTs. They charge a 10% "administration fee" on their bad beat and high hand jack pots. Now they are capping the rake at $5 instead of $3 at 50/100 and 100/200. A lot of their expanded games and features lately are a way to make more money under the convenient guise of trying to appeal to a wider player base.

Any word of this stuff spreading to the skins?
[edit]
just logged into party to take a look and noticed the "beginner" tables. I dunno about that one. Seems like you're gaurenteed more sharks there than at the normal tables. Maybe it's just me though

If people are willing to pay, I can hardly blame them.

Only accounts created in the last 45 days can play on those tables. Can't wait til those guys take off the training wheels and start playing on open tables.
