why are you playing out of your roll? I still call here and c/r river when I improve. You have decent implied odds, especially if they spew with a flush/straight.

you dont 3 bet here?
Also, im not outta my br!
Add to that, the game had one large fish in it who was basically dumping cash to me in the button vs bb battle which was why i sat and stayed.

you don't have direct odds to draw, you don't have the equity needed to raise. You want to keep people in the pot in order to increase your implied odds. You're good on the turn exactly never.
what'd you steal to get to a 10k roll?

you may have set over set over set or set over set over 2pair here sometimes, but not many people, even over aggressive donkeys, will go nuts on that turn with 4 to broadway.
For that reason though, even if you don't improve I'd still call the river if it's anything up to 2 bets to me

Given button's read, what can he have here? Would he 3bet with JT? probably not, MAYBE AT but that is just as unlikely given this board because you hold 2 of the Aces yourself. Button wouldn't raise this flop with TT, what can you put him on other than two pair or a set? I 3bet here and if get capped then slowdown. I also wouldnt feel bad about paying 2 bets on the river either for showdown.

this was my thought.
What puzzled me was why would the button (who had played good, solid poker vs me for 3hrs or so) 3bet the flop and then bet the turn with when checked to?
That made little sense to me unless he had the nuts or had overplayed his hand on the flop. Perhaps also, he wanted to be checked to with some draw and then thought (mistakenly imo) that semi-bluffing/bluffing the turn was worth it anyway considering how the bb and i had played the first street and preflop and hwo the board now looked. As noted however, that sucks becasue you would also expect the bb and me to shw down here no mtter what the price becasue we like our hands vs what are probable ranges here.
fwiw, i couldnt put button on a ten because of his flop action while he also knew not to 3bet sc's (like JTs) into my UTG raising range preflop (it had gotten him burnt a few times)
