Ok...my first shot at posting hands here at FTR, and I'm just learning. Anyway, pretty sure I made some mistakes (once I really LOOK at them, I start to see leaks), but I wanted to poll the group. Feedback is appreciated.

Four hands from one session. Pretty LP-Py group...while I play TA-P (being honest-working on this)

My thoughts:

Hand 1: I think you played this well

Hand 2: do not fold the turn as you have both a str and flush draw.
fold on the river when those did not hit

Hand 3: Bet the turn, you have been the aggressor this hand, and checking gave those on a flush draw a free card.

Crap...copied that one twice. See, I'm new.

So on #1 you bet out to on the come. I actually lost this one to J6 boat on CO spot.

Yeah, #2 was bad as I figured out later.

But on #3, do you bet to expose strength? These LPP's were sitting on Ax all night.

for hand 3, if they have Ax good for them. they'll be too afraid to raise anyways because of their kicker. so you don't lose that much, and often with the ace out it's still a value bet.

hand 4:
i bet out every street.

Hyper's advice is right on.

I see one leak that you need to plug right away. You seem to relinquish the power that you have established in the hand by checking at certain streets. If you have the goods, bet out.

Hand 2: As everyone else has already said, you had odds to draw to the straight as well as picking up the flush draw. Never fold this.

Hand 3: You check-raised the flop and then checked the turn when the A came out. Bet out right there and see where you are. If raised, call down. Here is one of those cases where you relinquished the power in the hand that you established on the flop. Take advantage of it.

Hand 4: Again, you 3-bet pre-flop, you 3-bet the post-flop and then you check/called the turn. You gave away the power in the hand. At the very least if you were going to check on the turn, pop back MP3 with a check-raise on the turn. You have to bet out on the river here as well.

Good luck and keep at it!

Thanks, JM.

Probably need to get it through my head not to worry about smooth call traps and keep attacking until someone fires back.

I've been through phases of doing this effectively, but still fall out of it at times. Still learning to maintain...
