You'd think they might be a little more cautious and passive at 30/60, but they turn up the post-flop heat real quick. My sense is they are up to at least two things (1) they want to see if you can be pushed off a pot easy, and (2) they want to see "where they are" before they get to the Big bets.
They are not so pushy on the turn and river.

I tend to be SLAPPY (semi-loose agressive passive), so the post-flop action didn't bother me that much. I kind of prefered the style of play, but a got a little nervous around a couple of real solid players and quit while I was ahead.

I only played 250 hands, so I'm not sure if all tables are like this. There were some weak bullies and some good players waiting to punish them.

I think I'll keep my butt at 10/20 on weekend evenings from now on, which is the only time I am playing anymore.

One thing that was helpful about the experience, though, when I went back to 10/20 I had tightened up (30/60 will do that - lol), and I was way more agressive on later streets. I took down more pots uncontested on turn and river folds. I think I may have been pessimistic about judging when I was ahead or not, and I stopped painting worse case scenerios and started pressing other players more.

Notice no possible flush draws on any of the boards...

I've watched party 30 / 60 from time to time and am of the opinion that at certain peak times it is mainly comprised of stockbrokers that have put too much Dr Zhivago up their noses and are flipping out with cash they don't care about. I'm sure there are some real sharks but the majority just seemed to be maniacs with up to 30 more maniacs queuing at any one time to get into the game.

Why not go for the turn C/R on hand 4?
If I had a hammer
I'd drop in the morning
I'd drop in the evening..

Because an aware player may fold to a turn raise. By 3-betting he's more likely to get the other guy to play back at him, Stop'n'Go or call down.
