Question 1: In last 3 days, i have capped 2 hands in a 4-way kill pot preflop with J-J and won. Was I just lucky or JJ will win often. Is JJ that strong enough to be capping in 4 way pots ? or just call 3 bet and hope all under cards or a Jack flops and keeps hand strength concealed. If one or 2 overcard flops my hand is dead anyway..so should i be capping with it ??

Question 2: How good a hand is K-9s. I dont want to pick up any bad habits but is it a good enough hand to open limp. lately I have seen that i would have been winning with those K-9s hands that i was folding...but maybe thats my brain sending me wrong signals...how many people do i need in the pot to be playing K-9s (regardless of position..meaning...most of the tables i play are loose passive...so i am probably mainly playing for flush draw..but if i pair my king...usually its a decent kicker for what people play at this level...)

Question 3: I open limp a lot more in B&M (K-10 o/s, K-J o/s, J-Q s, A-10 o/s, A-Jo ) etc than online at Party. The reason being in B&M people tend to hang around with their bottom pair/middle pair till the end so have to hit the cards to win the hand. Aggressive betting on all streets wont make them fold if i dont hit those cards.

Is that correct thinking or flawed ? Should I open raise these hands in B&M as I open raise in Party. (i am talking specifically those hands..not the big pockets, big slick , KQ0/s etc...I raise them all the time).

1) you should be more willing to cap in a 4 way pot. JJ is the 4th best hand in holdem, so your equity edge is huge. In fact, with a 4 bet cap, you should cap no matter how many players there are. with a 5 bet cap, it is often correct to just call the 3 bet if you are out of position.

2) No. You can play K9 suited with 3-4 limpers if you have position.

3) Don't. Open raise and let them come in with inferior hands. If you are in EP these are folds in a loose game. Top pair will rarely win the pot.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.
