is this okay? I don't have the hand history, but here it is.

AQs UTG at a 6-max table. I raise, next player calls, SB folds, BB calls.

flop something like 725 rainbow. BB checks, I bet, otherguy raises, BB folds, I 3-bet, otherguy calls.
turn is a Q, i bet, otherguy calls.
river is a blank - bet and call, i take the pot down.

the guy was pissed off at me for 3-betting the flop with A high (he had A7s). I think this was the right play (it seems fairly standard to me, but I could easily be wrong here), what do you all think?
If I had a hammer
I'd drop in the morning
I'd drop in the evening..

I guess he didn't think overcards were going to fall on his pair of 7's??? Anytime you bet a pair of 7's strong like that, you have to expect to get beat alot.

Not so sure I would have 3-bet that flop with just overs, but that is probably more a difference in style than anything. You already had the guy isolated, so the raise does not have the added bonus of pushing others out of the pot. So this would make it a raise for value? I usually figure I'm behind in the hand if I bet overs and get raised, and tend to slow down some.
