villain is some random i guess, i dunno really i just sat down. assuming hes bad given that its 2plo. on the turn is my sizing terrible? I figure that if I make it too big i only get action from better (thought blocking 88 is great), 54 gets there and 33 has me. any flush draw would certainly call again though...so I think looking back I should be potting.
I guess once I clear up my turn play we can move onto the river..

In hands like this -- where you were leading bottom set, didn't have someone go bat-shit aggro on you, and then actually improve to where you're beating middle set on the flop, I think I would always call this at this level without sick reads.
I think potting the turn is fine, hearts will still call and unknown micro players can show you anything here (calling down with KK or someting).

33xx does not have you, you have 88822
if you mean on the turn, sure, the turn should just be a big bet, pot or close to it and on the end you're clearly bet/calling.

if we didn't have an 8 would this be a closer to a fold? from my nlhe experience donks have such nitty fucking value shoving ranges on the river i almost couldn't see one jamming bare trips here unless it was with an A kicker given that it's alot easier to make a boat in this game. or is my logic here off?

ya i'd fold deuces full.
ur getting over 2-1 on a call and you're ahead of his range if he only shoves boats (he could have peeled with 665x).
