1) If I bet the river here - what do I do if I get raised? It's 5 handed and SB has been reraising me every time I raise with the button.

Paradise Poker 10/20 Hold'em (5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9, 9.
2 folds, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, BB calls, Hero caps, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (12 SB) 2, 3, 7 (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, SB folds, BB calls.

Turn: (9.50 BB) 6 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls.

River: (11.50 BB) K (2 players)

Hero ???

2) Did I play this right? SB is same villain. Or do I just call the 3 bet on the flop? I figured AK just as likely as KK so y not cap it?

Paradise Poker 10/20 Hold'em (5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, A.
UTG calls, 1 fold, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, BB calls, UTG calls, Hero caps, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (16 SB) K, 2, 5 (4 players)

Turn: (14.05 BB) K (4 players)
SB bets, BB calls, Hero folds.

River: (16.05 BB) J (3 players)
SB bets, BB folds.

Final Pot: 17.05 BB

CALL THE TURN
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.

Hand1: fine to river, lead the river call a raise IMO
Hand 2: cap the flop and go from there...

Hand 1, why not check/call the river against Mr. Tricky? He may occasionally check behind, but from the way you describe him, he seems like the sort that might bet with any 2 if you check the river to him.

Hand 1 - I had gotten Mr. Tricky/Villain out on my 3 bet flop. I definitely shoulda bet the river, but once again wussed out putting weak BB on AK. I checked, he checked, he had A3 - I missed a bet.

Hand 2 - Sorry it came out a little funky, (I just edited it to make it look a bit better). I did cap both pre-flop and flop. You guys advocated calling down... Mr. Tricky/Villain was tricky but not that tricky. Even if he had something like AQ diamonds he woulda just called my raise on the flop. I knew he had a K, turns out he had two. Quad Ks beat BB's A3 (I guess he really liked that hand).

On hand 2 hmm... we might be able to reduce his range down to AA/KK/AK based on the pre-flop flop action and find a fold. However, if he's being really aggo pre-flop we can't deduce that, hence we can't fold the turn getting 10:1 to call this down with a possible best hand and 2 outs to the 2nd nut.

I see the call down there. Dunno... He wasn't being exceptionally aggro pre-flop - besides my button raising hands, the hands I had seen him raise with were QKs, AJo, and 88. He just would not let me raise with the button on a steal. Everytime I raised he reraised (again this had only happened like 3 or 4 times so not a huge sample). But he wasn't reraising the flop unless he had something, and he was checking the turn/folding to a bet on the turn when he had like 2Jo.

Don't know why, but I KNEW he had a K. That was enough for me for that hand.

Save the cute laydowns for smaller pots.

1) I'm not saying the call-down is wrong. I'm saying I trusted my gut/read/whatever you wanna call it. 2 more big blind bets was in my mind at best chasing for an A. I gave myself one out there (2 outs for the A minus 1 for the real possibility that BB had another A and/or that Villain had KK). Even with that pot - I'm not chasing one out.

2) Dropping whether my fold in that hand was right or not for a sec. I gotta say - I think the hands this section does not have enough of, are the hands where you have a hand but should fold. I've seen you post a couple, but the majority of hands are the whoops I missed a bet variety. My biggest leak still is the inability to fold turn raises even when I'm almost positive I'm beat because. E.g. I have TPTK and the flush has clearly beat me (maybe he's semi-bluffing the draw on the turn and raising I convince myself as I call, and then christ I'm committed and/or let's pay one more blind to make sure my read is right so I won't do that next time). Throwing away 2 extra BBs kills/sucks/blows goats. I'm gonna post my next ten turn folds and we'll get a discussion on those.
