Flop:

Do you think its worth a bet against two opponents with these scary board?

River:

Is this a wrong call? My assumption was we might split the pot with two pair on the board when he doesnt have a higher pair. Or I catch him bluff because I showed weakness on the turn. Should I fold this one?

Any other thoughts about this hand?

Thanks

Fold the river. Thats the whole point in the free card/checking the turn. You get to see the river for free and can fold if you dont hit.

I understand.

The problem I see they can bet the river with nothing and you fold with Ace high. Isn't this terrible?

The pot was only 4 BB at this point, and chances are you would to call one bet to win 2. This size pot is not worth protecting. Most players slow play their hands until the turn anyway. Checking the paired board on the turn is almost always a good play in book, especially with just two overcards and no value draw. The board pairing two pair doesnt really help you out anymore than it did before. I still fold as you already showed weakness by checking the turn and the river didnt help you out at all. Theres an information gap here, your opponent most likely knows you dont have shit, thus he bet with bottom boat. However, you have no idea what your opponent is betting with, in a small pot this isnt worth the price.

Thanks for the extend explanation.

I have to think more about the pot size.

Do you feel my flop bet necessary?

Bet, call a reraise check/fold the turn.

If, by betting you've gotten it HU, then bet the turn, otherwise give it up.
