Ugh ... damn the 2 outers. I was just in a $60 freeroll, and on the 3rd hand, I get AA.
I make a solid bet getting a lot of calls, and the guy to my right goes all in, I call, everyone else folds. He has pocket 4s, and I'm laughing all the way ... to the damn 4 on the river.

I've played freerolls, and until about 50% of the field is gone you might as well play blind folded. People are in the tourney for free, so they'll call PFR with 72o catch two pair to put down your TPTK and think they are poker gods.

I just got off a cold streak. Nailed a fish on the river with my set of Aces turned boat when he caught a third nine.
Multi-tabling Party 2/4 is fun.
Keep at it man.
BTW, buy a copy of Small Stakes Hold'em. Second only to Poker Tracker in terms of cost/value.

No doubt that stinks. yesterday, playing 3/6 on PP. I get dealt AA, 2 others stay in the pot. Mad betting throughout the entire hand. Flop is rags, turn is a K, river is a rag.
$153 pot.
One guys turns over 88 and he made his set on the flop. The other turns over KK and he made his set on the turn! I'm sitting there with AA and the 3rd best hand!
Later in the evening I'm 2-tabling at the 3/6 game. Enter both tables with $150. About 1 1/2 hours later.....
Table #1 = $314
Table #2 = $47
Still a $61 profit but that could have been a big night for me with even a marginal loss/gain at Table #2. This game is something else, man.

Happens to me all the time. One table runs hot, the other cold. Although sometimes it becomes clear one of the tables has gone TP or TAg on me.
What's your win rate at 3/6? The 2/4 tables are usually pretty amazing. Gotta love the 72o SB defense....
Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converter
Preflop: Fnord is MP3 with 8 , 8 .
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, Fnord raises, CO folds, Button folds, SB calls, BB folds.
Flop: (5 SB) 6 , 3 , A (2 players)
SB checks, Fnord bets, SB calls.
Turn: (3.50 BB) 2 (2 players)
SB checks, Fnord bets, SB calls.
River: (5.50 BB) 7 (2 players)
SB checks, Fnord bets, SB raises, Fnord calls.
Final Pot: 9.50 BB
Results in white below:
SB shows 2h 7c (two pair, sevens and twos).
Fnord shows 8s 8c (one pair, eights).
Outcome: SB wins 9.50 BB.

Wow, Are you sure you are not also playing under the name Humphrind? I have had the same luck.
I'm delt QQ.
preflop 3rd positon (short stack) goes all-in
I'm in 4th positon and call (about half my stack)
5th position calls (with slightly less chips than I have)
everyone else folds
Flop comes 932
I go all in hoping to go head-to-head with the other guy.
5th position calls and flips over 99
1st position flips over ATo
The turn brings a T and the river brings an A.
Trips wins it all and my advantage pre-flop doesn't mean crap.
3rd place rejoice!

I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Fnord -
Haven't really been keeping real good records (Haven't purchased the full version of PT yet. I dunno what I'm waiting for.) but I am having a hell of a time winning at all on 2/4 contrary to your experience. I started playing the 2/4 tables about 2 weeks ago and won $120 the first day. Ever since that day haven't had a winning session on 2/4. Very frustrating.
If I had to take an educated guess right now, I'd say I'm at around 3-5 BB/hr at the 3/6 tables.
As for NL, forget about it right now. My NL game is in high gear suck mode these days. Of course, that is following a pretty descent run at the $25 NL tables that lasted about a month and then all of the sudden BAM! that's why I have reverted back to limit for the time being.
Ugh.

Yeah, that was silly. Made me quite angry at the time!

... Wow, I must've been really tired when I posted that or something. I meant a $60 SNG.
And the player that went all in with the 44 won the previous $100 SNG I was in (I bubbled out ), and seemed like a very good player. He must've read us all as being rather weak preflop. Plus, there was a good amount to steal out there, after I got a lot of calls with my initial 60 chip raise (still with 15 chip blinds).
I was kind of trying to come off as pretty weak after a lot of people limped to me, and I definitely got what I wanted preflop. But it still really sucked.
I did win the $60 SNG after that one, though.
