Hey guys, only been playing poker since june, and i stumbled upon your guys awsome site. Its clear there is some very intelligent discussion here and i truly want to improve my game. I had an excellent run at the .10 .20 cent tables and recently moved up to the .25 .50 cent tables and am getting murdered. Maybe you guys can help me.

Thoughts on this hand?

Hand 1: I think you need to go one more bet deep. I'm not buying 2x or JJ just yet.
Hand 2: Flop is a check/call without a read, then lead the turned Ace to stop KK/QQ from checking behind.

Hand one I cap the turn and lead the river. Very often (even at higher stakes) this is Jx thinking he has the nuts. 99% of the time JJ/2x isn't donk betting into us on the turn.

Hand 2 I like a donk bet-call or check-call line on the flop better than a check-raise.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

Hand 2 i assume we are check calling becuase we are afraid of overpairs due to the 3 bet preflop? Otherwise i see the check raise as a value play...

And hand 1...... i assume that this was simply unlucky because this was that one percent of the time...

Are you playing the same? Is the money involved completely comfortable (not just in absolute terms, but also relative to your poker bankroll). I have played a whole lot of 0.25-0.50, but recently started a project beginning with 0.10-0.20. Now if I play 0.25-0.50 I have to make an adjustment as the values involved seem a lot greater - especially as i am not yet quite rolled for 0.25-.50 (next week i think). Is there an intermediate level available to you (party has 0.15-0.30)
The hands you played, you didn't do too much wrong - although i have a feeling you were behind on the flop in hand two... good luck.
