you have #3, I'd assume your opponents are pretty awful, so yea, I'd cap there.

Playing 567 at all predraw is horrifying, just muck it. I'd raise 2567 as well, he drew three so it's very unlikely he has a hand that beats you, probably he just has a one card draw that you're a favorite against. I would cap and raise the river if he bets, and if he 3-bets I'd just call.

In a cash game I would muck 567, in an Sng I tend to play a bit wider, especially in the 8 game when most of the field sucks in triple draw

Agree that I should raise the 1st draw.

I did not cap it for the same reason - it is an Sng and there is some value in pot control in marginal situation - and I think it is a marginal situation. Another reason not to cap it is my opinion is that if I am ahead (he has 8x or maybe even 9x) capping it may cause him to break the hand and draw again, which is bad for me

There's playing "a bit wider" and then there's playing one of the worst three-card draws you can have, and from a bad position. There's no way you're making money on this junk hand.

Your last statement has some merit vs. a good player but I think it's FPS vs. a fish like this, in my experience I have never seen a fish break a pat 8 even when it's clearly beat, they just stand pat and call down and hope for the best. Even if you call for deception, there's still no excuse for not raising the river.
