I'm about to go play in a live charity event. They have 2-5 spread limit. 1-2 blinds 5$ bet 10$BB.

I consider myself a good enough player to beat this game. I am no limit expert, but I hold my own. This game is definately different. There will be 4 players per flop on average and the limit structure is different.

How should I adjust my game for this spread style? I plan on playing more speculative hands in position, big hands will be called to the river every time.

Thanks.

for a small spread like this one, table structure will dictate a lot, but tend to make the maximum bets and raises whenever you can. It should loosen up the table to calling bigger bets with smaller hands. Be prepared to see a lot of suckouts and DO NOT criticize others' play. Say "good hand, well played" and move on.
You cal also make mini-raises with weak draws for free cards, as long as no one notices. Also, more hands are playable in LP for the small bet, but less are playable in EP, because of the big bet. Pre-flop should play out a bit like a loose-passive pot-limit game.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

I ended up just opting to play SnGs and MTTs. The fields were very weak there... although the cards beat me anyway.

Demi, that is was I was thinking myself. I plan on playing some in the coming weeks, thank.
