My rationale for raising pre-flop was that this was obviously going to be a family pot and because I have the button and a hand that plays well against many opponents, I should build the pot. Was I right in playing it this way or was I merely wasting a SB? The flop totally misses me, but apparently it missed everyone else too so no big deal. I'm pretty sure I played the turn right by re-raising. I'm not too sure about the river though. With this many people in the hand the 6 on the river could very well have given someone a set with how loose the table was playing. I'm also not terribly confident with my kicker if someone else has a K. Basically I didn't re-raise because I didnt want to put myself in a position to be 3-bet with a scare card on the board and only a J kicker. Was that too weak for me to simply call?

Hand 2

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with J, J.
UTG folds, Hero raises, MP1 folds, MP2 3-bets, CO folds, Button calls, SB calls, BB calls, Hero caps, MP2 calls, Button calls, SB calls, BB calls.

MP2 has Kh Ac (straight, ace high).
Outcome: Hero wins 22 BB.

Was I being overly aggressive to cap pre-flop? This table was very loose as well and the only person I thought had me beat was MP2, or that he possibly had AK making me a slighly favorite. Luckily the flop hits me hard. The turn brings a possible straight, flush or higher set if MP2 has QQ so I slow down to his re-raise. River pairs the board giving me the boat and is where my next question comes up. I've played numerous hands with MP2 by this point and know he is an aggressive, but also fairly smart player. I know checking will induce him to bet if he has the flush or the straight allowing me to re-raise. Should I lead out instead and hope for a re-raise allowing me to 3-bet while risking the possibility of only a call? In retrospect I think I should have led out because I was pretty sure he had AK and would've re-raised. That would've also put me in a position to be capped by QQ, but being scared of only one possible hand when you're confident in another read is pretty weak. Anyways, I'm interested in other opinions. Thanks.

I don't see anything wrong with throwing 1 sb into the first hand against that many damn people.

River play is good. He pulled a stop and go, so it looks like he improved on the river, there is NO i'm folding this river though.

I just sit at the tables with the highest average pot size. Typically means a loose table. Once the ATMs quit feeding me i move on.
