You sold yourself out checking the turn. That bet is saying your beat. You just turned your QQ into a bluff catcher. It's about believing or not. If you just call what do you do facing a river raise/check. He may think you have no J and think his AT is good. His aggression could play like a J and you will have to lay down the best hand.
