6-handed, villain isn't that great at poker, he tends to have Hold'em disease. Usually I wouldn't sit semi-deep with a good player on my left but this guy gets a free pass.

Hero (UTG) $141.50
Villain (UTG+1) $210.75
4 other players

Dealt to Hero: :As: :Qh:

Hero raises to $3.00, UTG+1 calls, 1 fold, BTN calls, 1 fold, BB calls

Flop ($12.50): :Ks: :Ts:
BB checks, Hero bets $10, UTG+1 calls, BB folds

Turn ($32.50):
Hero.....

So he's overvaluing TPTK, 2 pair, etc? I don't really understand the read (probably because I don't understand HE).

Jack, you do have to worry about sets, it's non-trivial in Omaha, although I can't imagine he'd flat that flop with a set.

I bet 2/3 pot, so $20.

tends to think he can draw to the 5th nut flush or the bottom end of straights and still be good.

He's not a station, and he's not going to give me any action with a bad 2 pair here.

I'm tempted to bet close to $65 here. Will that scare him away with his HE mentality?

I dunno, anything but betting big seems bad imo.

even so, we're like 3:1 on river. we got the nuts, we should play it fast, and hope he has like QsXs, with X = 9 or J for added suspense .

Doesn't c/r look ridiculously strong, like to the point he could fold a baby flush and certainly fold anything he was bluffing with?

Also, if I time bank call the turn and snap-check the river I think he's going to fire again with his bluffs, and definitely bet again with all of his flushes.

Don't check. 2 draws: spades or QJ. if he had spades, he's not really calling a flop bet to fill up on turn and still fold. If he had QJ, and specifically QJo, you might still extract from him but not likely since spade showed up. If he had QsJs, he's never folding. If he has some sort of set, he's probably never folding assuming HE bg. If he had some sort of 2PR, I am at a loss as to what he'd do, but I bet and find out.

If he has a flush he's willing to bet with, he's probably also willing to at least call with it. I think you are over-thinking this spot, remember, k/c allows him to fill up sets too while nicely priced.
Assume you k/c, and river pairs board. WWYD?

IMO, tarping isn't really optimal in a PL game. You need to build that pot, even when bluffing weaktights and vbetting loosetards

OK, in interest of moving this discussion along, I have pretty much a PSB shove behind, or do I do something silly and minraise?

His bet on the river is very small, I would not raise POT, I would raise 30-40 back
