games are good
i'm playing pretty well
i;m getting smashed by variance
9bi behind on AIEV over four days, but that doesn't consider things like this - actually, fuck it, no hand histories. But getting most of the money in on the flop vs a two outer, top set no good in 3b unconnected pots all in on flops, top two no good b vs b, etc...
Just got to keep playing well, keep getting money in good, and it will turn around soon enough. If not, then i guess it's back to the money tree at 50nl
edit: fuck this - withdrew another $2.5k and it's back to 50nl for a while. Think it's about time i cashed in some ironman bonuses too, i've got nearly $1800 worth of medals just sitting there. Why not have the cash sitting in a savings account instead. Thinking of looking at the job market too, i've been out of the work grind for about ten months now, and it's almost two years since i've worked fulltime. Just a shame that this small university town doesn't have quite the work opportunities of cities i would typically be looking for work in.
Oh well, at least it has decent surfing, diving, climbing, and loads of clean air to breathe...
a few days off poker now - my girlfriend and i are heading north for the wedding of one of my best friends (ex-girlfriend even, but that was almost ten years ago..) and then probably stopping for surf/diving at some beaches on the way back down.
Life's good, poker life is challenging. Up about $7k in 2010, but it was $9k a few days ago. Back to the grind next week, I figure i'll stick at 50nl for 20buyins, however long that takes.
