I am getting called almost every time B-X has 8x or better. Many opponents at these stakes understand what the top of their range is and in what spots they should and should not fold a hand that is very high in their range vs a player like me. I don't want to address whether they are correct, but this is likely a spot where a lot of good and mediocre players alike will think that 8x or 99 is a trivial call. Also, this river is a ridiculously standard call vs any midstakes or mediocre high stakes reg but I have a lot of respect for this opponent which is why I considered a fold. |
