Villain in this hand is a 14/12 nit with a 20% ATS. Button and SB are both nits with less than 12 VPIP so I dont expect overcalls. SB is kinda tight but shovey which I dont mind at all, especially with relative position when he does. Ive been playing pretty tight but with a tonne of stealing from the CO and button (like 22/20) and some double barrelling at decent turns/ raising some cbets on decent flops with air/floating decent flops and generally trying to steal anything I think I can get away with.

I feel like a 3bet is going to fold all villains AQ/AJ type hands, and Im really not going to love being 4bet. I elect to call with position to keep his range wide and hopefully win the most and lose the least.

So Question 1: Is this fine?
Question 2: When the flop is K high rather than A high, im aiming for value from KQ and midpairs, and I dont think ill get a tonne from KQ anyway if I go for potsize bets. I dont think he has many flush draws in his range and if it comes and he bets/raises he is never bluffing. When he checks the turn with a flush draw out I think hes usually itching to fold. I chose to size so that I can hopefully get calls from underpairs as well as KQ if he has it. The river obviously makes this even more important since I split with any K. Good?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

UTG ($52.70)
MP ($56)
Hero (CO) ($56.75)
Button ($71.95)
SB ($23.20)
BB ($6.45)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A, K
UTG bets $2, 1 fold, Hero calls $2, 3 folds

Flop: ($4.75) 7, K, 2 (2 players)
UTG bets $3, Hero calls $3

Turn: ($10.75) 2 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $6, UTG calls $6

River: ($22.75) K (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $9, UTG calls $9

Total pot: $40.75 | Rake: $1.95

One final question for other people playing in these games on stars at the moment. Are they always so nitty? The average vpip seems to go down by about 10% from 25NL to 50NL.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

bigspenda73: But how much did you win?
