All I know is that my mac is 4 and a half years old and yet still runs as crisply, as fast and as well as it did the day I first booted it up. I'm yet to see an affordable windows machine of 3+ years which isn't painfully slow and cluttered, as if the HDD is scrambled.
Get a mac and ignore the inverse snobbery.
