There's no such thing as a pre-intel Mac Pro. :-/ Do you mean PowerMac? G5? G4? Saying "my modern middle-of-the-line computer runs better than my friend's five year old top-of-the-line computer" isn't that exciting.

That said, with regards to don't bother with a MacBook, I disagree. Unless you're doing anything, like, hardcore, a MacBook should see you through.


I also note that OP hasn't popped in since he made the thread. He probably just wanted to start the inevitable flame war. Genius.
