Hi there,
Just wondering if I can confirm the way points are calculated.
I've checked my HEM for the time I've been playing, and I've played 4329
hand of 0.25/0.5 NL and 6709 hands of 0.5/1.00 NL. So based on the
charts you have that should be:
4329/67 = 64
6709/40 = 167
(64 + 167) * 10 = 2310 points.
My account only shows 1,295 points though. Am I missing something in how
the points are calculated?
Thanks
Ben

Dear Benjamin,

Thank you for contacting Customer Service.

I checked our records and those confirm you currently have a total of 1,295.84 Party Points, which is actually a job well done!

Please note, a possible reason for this misunderstanding might be that not every hand you have played is a raked one. It is clearly stated in our "How to earn" tab that the number of hands required for earning 10 Party Points is actually the number of raked hands necessary:

https://secure.partyaccount.com/pc/p..._earnpoints.do

A raked hand is a hand that a) a player participates in (dealt cards) and b) has generated at least $0.01 in rake for that player. Generated rake is calculated by dividing the total rake collected in that hand by the number of players who were dealt cards. Here is a link you might want to refer to in case of any doubt:

http://www.partypoker.com/how_to_pla...structure.html
Now from that page, for NL games, rake is calculated at: $0.01 per $0.20
I'm guessing what happens is $1 pot when folded to the BB is $0.05 rake, so those arent counted. The 50nl hands would have been worse.

I'm not sure that accounts for it all. I've only earnt about 60% of the points I'd have expected. That changes things a lot in the hands required for the bonuses I posted above.
Just playing to improve.
