I was advised to download a new poker site that had an Omaha HiLo 200 FR tourney and I did. I was having great success in the tourney having accumulated from 1/2 to 2/3 of all the chips but then a friend started saying to me "hey, dont play any crap hands". Well up to this point apparently I was either very lucky and not playing crap hands but it seemed to knock the winds out of my sails and my chip stack started going down, down, down. I ended up 3rd winning a nice stash of 77.40 but I was very disappointed in myself later in analyzing myself and what the heck happened. In looking back I figured that my friend offering to help me (since I said to him this is nerve wracking) and saying dont play crap hands made me start looking at my hands differently and then it all went down the tubes. Anyway this post was actually to celebrate my win but probably seems like a whine session at this point - sorry about that. I guess I learned a good lesson here. I normally play NLH but I have always enjoyed Ohama and the HiLo as well. I plan on reading all the information you have here on Omaha to see if I can play even better in the future.
