Villain is playing a pretty loose semi-agro game, stats are 35/16/1.09. He has taken his fair share of pots on the flop with PSB and hasn't really shown down much. He did 4bet utg vs a shortstack with AJ62, of course the SS had AA.

He's been representing the flush, or at least a hand on flop, turn, then all of a sudden checks the river. His play is somewhat erratic so I really can't tell if he is trying to be tricky to induce a bet from me or is this just real weakness.
It crossed my mind that it could be a Dry A bluff that he has given up on, or was just betting with complete air. There are 2 overcards to my pair of 8's, so I don't know how much showdown value I have for the high I have at this point.
My question is, vs loose-agro opponents what does putting on the breaks on river mean to you?
I think I messed this hand up pretty bad. Anyone playing the flop or turn differently?
