With kmind's "enjoy the scenery" in mind, I did a beast this morning with my glasses on. Saw 5 deer, a pileated woodpecker, a dozen of the neighbors' dogs and two chickens (yes, our neighbors have "yard birds"). As the deer ran away and the dogs ran toward me, I noticed they were having significantly fewer problems with the hills than I was. Ran it in 62 minutes, which is 12:30 pace. Like to run one in less than an hour before the month's over. Two recovery runs, one beast and then the long run next weekend. Still no noticeable weight loss.
Rock climbers talk about having the volts or power in their arms to crank past crux sections. Runners I know talk about having amps to handle hills. Having watts would be better than volts or amps. Here's what I've got on the electricity-fitness profile:
[ ] Amps
[ ] Volts
[ ] Watts
[x] Ohms
