I don't listen to music while running. I enjoy seeing deer, looking at nature and dodging rednecks. I don't own an ipod or mp3 player, either, but where I run (lots of sharp hills on twisty, narrow mountain roads), you stay safe by hearing cars coming before you see them.
Beast 5 miler tomorrow - 1st of the prop bet. I'll report back and let you know (if I live through it).
