I am Jack's tilting train wreck
I was on par to making 100nl but I do the same thing every time. I make money consistently, run into one off day, and immediately start trying different methods to start making money again because "I must be doing something wrong." I need to realize that everyone has off days and that the perfection train I'm trying to ride is going straight off the fucking bridge.
I lost 3 buyins 20 tabling and immediately switched to my old lagg days playing 4 tables. Then some HUNL (which i fucking spew at 24/7) and some 6maxaments. 13 buyins later (down) I'm nowhere near my goals and hating poker.
I think half of this is I'm still results oriented. No more are my goals going to be about moving up. That is fucking me over big time.
My new goals are going to revolve around hands played, only focusing on making correct decisions, and reviewing my play to learn from my mistakes. If you play the hands, the money will come. Or at least the FPPs will come, and they're like pseudo monies.
New Goal:
30K hands in February 20 tabling. I'll move up stakes as my BR allows but I am indifferent about what stakes and what money I'm making. All I care about is making the right decisions and putting the time in.
