lol quit after 155 hands today as I was being put on life tilt by the manual controls on my laptop. I left my mouse down at my dads so I tried to play today without. Yet i found I could only play 6 tables as the touch thingy is so slow plus i made several miscliks which were incredibly annoying.

On the brightside I am really looking forward to the new year. I view it as a fresh start both in regard to poker and life in general. Though university is awesome I couldn't have put in any less effort in my first semester than I did. I know the first year isnt very important but my attendance was terrible for both lectures and seminars. This was mainly attributed to my crazy sleeping cycles where i effectively became nocturnal. Since iv'e been back home i've fallen into a far better sleeping pattern and have consequently felt better and more motivated to get things done, thus my aim for the next semester is to go to atleast 75 percent of my seminars and lectures and get no less than a 1/1 in all my essays.

In relation to poker im finding the prospect of new year even more exciting. For the last 7 months or so ive been playing with realtime hud, a free hud which does provide a database of stats on players you've played but on the flipside doesnt provide any other benefits bar that, a programme like holdem manager is infinitely better. This is gonna sound retarded and it probably is but ive actually had holdem manager for a few months now and after failing in trying to set it up on vista I just gave up and forgot about it. But now I feel is a perfect time to get it set up and start a new phase of my poker career as the new year dawns. In the last week or two ive really gained the hunger to grind again and with my funds already diminishing due to the costs of a uni lifestyle I feel the need to make some money.

Ive hit a really shitty downswing in the last 20k hands ive played which has seen me lose around 32% of my roll, not helped by my rusty play caused by a lack of hands since late september. Most of this loss occured at 200nl where I basically got bummed. Ive sice moved back down to 100nl and have effectively broken even for the last 10k hands ive played. Yet I definitely feel im playing way better than i was a month ago and its simply variance that is stopping me from making some good money.

Anyways i've gone on long enough and wish you all good luck for the upcoming year.
