Sooo went and played a live 20+5addon 1rebuy tourney at a local card club
Played it once before and know I shouldn't play it because blinds are fucking insane.
So I sit down and fucking old lady with TB on my right who is slow as fuck which is awesome because blinds suck ass.
So starting chips ta 4k with addon, and I got up to about 6k and was happy, then I missed the nut flush draw, and had a guy slow play KK vs my AJ on J jigh board and was down to 1k in chips with 3 minutes till end of first round and blinds were 50/100, going to 100/200 next round. So I get 88 and shove and beat AT, then I get 88 again and shove and get called by 66. So I got 5k chips and am happy.
I got moved around a ton in the 2nd hour, and missed a ton of blinds which is good because they DOUBLE every 20 minutes.
Doubled up off some donk at beginning of 2nd hour AQ vs AT pf.
So I got like 12k in chips blinds at 400/800 omfg, and I get moved to final two tables. Chip leader is a older latino guy I know to be really aggressive but actually decent.
So EP I get KQs, I raise like 2k and aggressive guy calls, flop come KJX, he makes it 2k on flop I shove he calls with TT, I double up.
A few hands later I got 88 he raises in EP, I shove for about 25k
and got him covered by like 1kand he calls with AT+ I forget and I win.
So I dont really play another hand.
Tourney pays 4, final table forms with 10 people, and I think I am chip leader with about 40k and was CARD DEAD. With 6 left I hadn't played a hand and was down to a little over 30k
Break happens and blinds are now 4k/8k and I am 3rd in chips.
Old Bitch Dumb fuck lady limps, I am in BB with J3 and everyone folds and I check. Flop comes JT2. I tank tank and put in the rest she has about 16k left and calls turning over QQ.... fucking whore slut
So now I am short as shit, in SB, I get 55, and shove old lady calls with Kt and I flop quads.
So I manage to survive to 4left, so there are about 160k chips on table, I got like 18k, other shorty has 12k and two big stacks got60k each. I get A9 UTG other shorty posted BB so he has 4k left folds to him and he blind calls and flips over AK lol.
And after that I got knocked out. so spent $25 and won 91 first paid 340, 2nd 220, 3 120, 4th 91.
Happy but disappointed, best hand I had all night was AQo or 88 which I had a few times. no big pocket pair or AK. But I did hit quads.
Guy who ended up winning just won the Heartland poker tour in Greektown for over 100k so I think I deserved to win ya know, what is $300 to him? Dean Hamrick who came in 10th in the ME actually came in 2nd at the HPT greektown.
I really do not want to play live anymore, all live tourneys suck balls in blind structure, and I do not have the money to beat 200nl even though I know I have an edge. Maybe some day or in a few months I can withdraw a big chunk of change but I really need to stay away from live till I can support it.
And does anyone read this? I am not an attention whore but just wondering. I know I am not exciting to read about, just a jackass slightly beating the game and playing within his BR pretty boring stuff IMO. If you are and want to see anything like my stats etc feel free to or just say hi. I am kind of jealous of Slevins attention
