You are folding because this isn't a cash game where you can top off your chips every time your stack drops a bit. In a tournament you should be either conserving chips or gathering them (with strong hands). Playing these sorts of hands early doesn't accomplish #2 enough to make it worthwhile.

You also fold because hands like KQo are extremely hard to play against a bunch of limpers. If the flop comes Q98 two toned how many chips are you going to invest before you figure out if you are ahead or behind here?

FWIW, one thing that I learned a long time ago is that when I play a hand early in a tournament it should either be strong enough to raise with or I better have a post flop plan (i.e. playing for set value, flush/str8, etc.). That is why Tai mentioned that he would fold KQo yet limp with KQs. The possiblity of a flush with the suited hand makes it strong enough to play however you STILL need to go into that hand not thinking TPGK is worth felting.
