Maybe I'll try list out some things going through my head.

I knew BB was a loose preflop player, but a thinking laggy player. Pretty good understanding post flop - at least, better than me. I figured he was flat calling to test me because he had me out stacked and could pay to make me squirm. Range for the preflop call is pretty wide but doesn't include 3's or 8's. Therefore his open flop bet was likely a plan regardless of the flop. My range is still pretty tight. I push to rep the over pair, he folds because he knows his two overs are no good.
I feel like it pays off to get into risky situations if the table is relatively nitty, still 8-9 players left, and the blinds are already up to 100/200 at least. When it doesn't pay off, I bust in 8th or 7th when my ICM % was still low anyway. If it does pay off, I've just given myself a huge chip advantage against the regular nits.
