Do the math, it's not a high value call. The reason I dislike single table tournies is that it's correct to pass on marginal spots early so you can put yourself in a position to win a prize. "Wanting to see a flop" with goodish cards goes from a smallish problem in a cash game to a distaster in small tournies because you'll bust yourself out early and a 1.5x to 2x bigger stack won't increase your prize pool equity by as much.
Early on you should be looking to crush people with high value propositions, not gamble it up. Let the fish run into AK/QQ+/sets and bust or double.
