A. Learn How to fold. There are freaking 9 cards to be used 2 ways. Your "pretty good" hand actually blows if it is not the nuts or darn close.

B. Don't even start for more than a blind without some kind of 4way going in your hand. What I mean is that your 4 cards need to start at least 4 reasonable hands to even bother paying more than a blind. AA23 double suited starts off as 5 options:
1. Pairs/boats with AA
2. Flush A
3. Flush B
4. Straight
5. Nut low WITH A Counterfeit defense

C. No one ever won the whole pot on A2 if low hand doesn't even show, or your A2 is counterfeited. Consider the nut low hand that you HAVE to be a bonus that gives you betting strength. Drawing to a low hand is asking for trouble when betting is hi and you have a pair.

D. Betting hawg wild on a nut low on the flop with no supporting hi hand will get you counterfeited or quarterred.

counterfeited: when one of your low hand cards appears on board.
quaterred: splitting the low so you get 1/4 the pot.

E. This is a game for multitablers, since the best thing to do in this game is wait for a 4way hand to bet, or a 3way hand in position or if limped to. Get a magazine and play 4 tables.

F. The play money Omaha8 on Pokerstars is so full of drama queens and social misfits that it can be a fun break from real money.
Been playing money poker for 34 years and decided in 2002 to try that TX Holdem game on TV. Then found Pokerstars in Summer 2005. Still not an overall winner but i am on a good trend and nearly there.
