Description:  Here euphoricism 4-tables $50 No-Limit Hold’em on VegasPoker247 (Absolute). In this video, he doesn’t focus on making it instructional, but more so learning alongside someone playing. You can see the decisions he has to face and his thought process throughout. One concept he makes sure he practices is to focus on the table dynamics and see how the table is playing and to adapt to it.

“not bad” by Captain Berate, 30 Sep 2008

Overall, pretty decent. I do have a few issues/questions/responses though, as detailed below. 5:10 Tbl2 Open-fold T9s? Really? Was that an accident? 13:30 How often do you flop big w/ KQs against AA? What flop are you looking for? Exactly KQx? You probably don't get much action on a KKx or QQ x board, unless your read was off and he has AK or AQ respectively. Maybe you get some action on a JT9 board if he's a pretty reckless opponent. You definitely get action on a AJT board, but you're also not a huge favorite. I guess if you're in a situation where you somehow know 100% for sure that he has AA, and he doesn't have any idea what you have, and the stacks are pretty deep, you can call pf w/ any 2 cards. But since you never know 100% what your opponent has until he shows it to you, I think you're usually better off avoiding calling pf w/ KQs against a probable AA/premium hand. T9s and lower SC's, as well as any PP and a few choice other drawing hands are a different story. 15:33 "Almost 21 outs to improve. Something like that. Without doing the math." "The math" is awfully complicated. A set improves to a full house or better from the turn to the river with 3+3+3+1=10 cards. I really have no clue where you came up with "almost 21 outs." Also, the idea of just calling the turn bet against a full-stacked opponent seems horrible. He bet

“Constant chatter = good thing” by Erpel, 05 Jul 2008

Rating:  4/5

I found this video very solid. There's no reason to be apologetic about it not being an instructional video - that just means you don't have an agenda or lesson. The actual content is very good to me. Lots of 'note to self' type things which are good for all learning players to keep in mind - both to keep in mind on a general level, but also to remind that you probably never really outgrow the need to remind yourself of basics occasionally. I really liked the constant chatter - stream of consciousness etc. It's a reminder of the thought processes we should be following. It's a real pity the sound ends up going out of sync increasingly as the video goes along, but other than that it's certainly a video I could watch again (when I need a reminder). Videos like this can serve as the thing eupho mentions in the video - his half hour limit sessions at lower levels just to get into the poker mindset before sitting down for his serious session at higher levels. Good stuff.
