After months of keeping the poker community in suspense, PokerStars has finally announced their 2011 VIP Club Changes. The changes were made to make the VIP Program simpler for most poker players. Both high stakes and microstakes players alike can rejoice at the changes announced by PokerStars on Friday.

PokerStars will keep most of the changes they made in the middle of this year. This includes the Instant VIP Reward Bonuses which no longer require players to grind in order to clear them. Additionally, the microstakes VPP Rates that PokerStars had in place for MicroMania will be the permanent rates for 2011. This means more VPPs for players at the lower stakes which is great for the poker economy and all players in general.

Supernova Elite VIP Players will now be eligible for a $20,000 Milestone Cash Credit at 1,000,000 VPPs. This will replace the old choice of cash or live event packages that was previously offered. Speaking of Milestone Cash Credits, their prices have been reduced from 50,000 FPPs to 1 FPP (the same cost of the VIP Stellar Rewards). The value of each Milestone Cash Credit has been reduced by $800 to reflect these changes. This will make the rewards easier to claim. The 100,000 VPP Milestone Cash Credit has been removed and replaced by a 100,000 VPP VIP Stellar Reward worth $200. This brings the value of all the VIP Stellar Rewards to $1,200 and the first Milestone Cash Credit to be given at 200,000 VPPs.

All in all, the PokerStars VIP Club will remain the same for most players. Supernova Elites will now have the option of cash instead of being sent to a live tournament. The Milestone Cash Bonuses are now easier than ever to claim and the savings in FPPs can be used on cool stuff from the VIP Club Store. As always, the PokerStars VIP Club offers its benefits to all players, rewards all players dealt into a hand equally, and offers the best rewards to its high volume players.
