The fourth edition of the Turbo Championship of Online Poker, PokerStars’ first major online championship series of 2015, is nearly upon us.
Running from Jan. 22 to Feb. 1, the TCOOP will feature $15 million in guaranteed prize money across 50 events and a variety of buy-ins. The turbo-style tournaments allow for quick and fast-paced action.
According to Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody, the “TCOOP is an awesome series because the tournaments are so quick and varied – you don’t have to be up all night to win some huge money, and the range of formats and game choices is so diverse.”
Team PokerStars Online Pro Mickey Petersen added, “I love how most of the events won’t take more than a couple of hours to complete and they are perfect to play on a tablet. Turbo tournaments require a different set of skills compared to other tournament series and provide constant action.”
The Main Event of the TCOOP is a $700 No Limit Hold’em tournament with a $2 million guarantee and a minimum of $700,000 for first place. Here are a few other highlights of the 50-event series:
