Pokerlistings.com reported today that FullTilt and other poker websites may be under attack. The website says that not only has FullTilt been very hard to gain access to over the past few days, but there have been many posts on forums like 2+2 and PocketFives reporting incidents where players were not able to finish tournaments.

FullTilt has not officially commented on the issue yet but several gaming sites think the lack of service may be because of a DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack; some think it is just maintenance. DDoS attacks generally overwhelm with a requests to deny legitimate users access.

The ShadowServer Foundation, a volunteer group of security personnel have reported a number of gambling sites are under attack. In a post “Gambling Websites Under Attack,” the Shadowserver Foundation listed Full Tilt Poker, CD Poker, Titan Poker and 28 other gambling sites.

FullTilt should comment about what is going on soon and hopefully these issues will shortly be under control.
