The general dislike for razz amongst poker players wasn’t enough to hold people back even on Valentine’s Day, and the event easily met its $150,000 guarantee, ending up with a $177,600 prize pool. 592 people paid $300+$22 each and battled it out for a $41,185.44 first prize, with 64 players total cashing.
11 Full Tilt Pros played in Event 14 but only Chip Jett cashed; he placed 63rd cashed for the minimum, receiving $745.92. Jett boasts over $1.9 million in lifetime tournament winnings (cue the ‘but how much did he lose?’ jokes), including a second place finish at the 2003 Poker Millions Cruise which won him an impressive $176,000. He is married to another Full Tilt Poker pro, Karina Jett.
As for ranked pocketfives players, Gbecks placed the highest, going out in 30th and taking home $1,101.12. Currently ranked 21st on pocketfives, the 23 year old actually already has an FTOPS event under his belt, having won Event 5 in FTOPS V for $102,383. This win is amongst other extremely impressive online wins, including a $48,168 first place win back in September on PokerStars.
scotyno triumphed heads-up and took first place with DrOfDonkology winning the consolation prize of $27,084.00 for second. Q_Q_Q rounded out the top three with a $18,825.60 prize for third. mman_status, a successful online tournament player, made the final table but ended up busting in 8th place for $2,664.00. Other notable finishes include pokerskibum who finished 18th and JohnnyGstakswho finished in 20th.
