The FTR Gauntlet is our own private online poker league. With such a community of both skillful and cool poker players here at FTR, we thought this would be a great venue for us to compete and have a ton of fun.
How does it work?
This season consists of a series of 25 tournaments (or "games"). NEW - Each player is permitted to play as many games as they like during the course of the season! Of these 25 total games, only the 12 highest-scoring games will count towards your final season point total. To have the best chance of ranking among the season's top 10 players and be eligible for the post-season FyrFytr Tournament Of Champions, you should play as many games as possible. The top finishers of each individual game will collect and keep the tournament cash prizes as in any tournament.
FTR will keep a leaderboard based on a point system. The leaderboard will be updated after each game with the latest point standings. At the end of the season, additional prizes will be awarded to the top three places on the leaderboard. But only 1st Place takes home the coveted FTR Gauntlet Trophy!
What does it cost?
It is free to join the league and the buy-in to each tournament is only $11 ($5.50 for non-Hold'em events). We aren't playing for each other's bankroll, we are playing for bragging rights and the Gauntlet trophy. This allows the n00bs to come right in and take on the pros! We guarantee that you will not find a more challenging game or better learning experience at this price.
How do I join?
First of all, you must be a member of the FTR Poker Forum. If you have a forum account, you need to register to play. League registration is required only once to play in all seasons. However, if your poker room name has changed, you must re-register with your new ID.
