Side pot

Side pot

A second pot created when a player goes all-in and additional bets are made. Only the players who are not all-in are eligible to win the side pot.

Example: Hero has two pair. Villain A goes all-in with the nuts, and Villain B raises with one pair. Hero calls Villain B's raise and neither improves. Villain A gets the main pot with the nuts, and Hero takes the side pot with his 2 pair.
