Set Mining

Set Mining

Limping or calling bets with a pocket pair in hopes of hitting a card of the same rank on the flop.

Example: Hero holds 44 and calls a small bet preflop, and the flop comes 4TQ. Hero now has a set. Villain bets, and hero shoves all-in.
